CURRENTLY NEEDED:
 
+  Case Aid
Work with Case Managers to help clients with a variety of social service needs including but not limited to assistance with medical benefits and job searching, as well as record keeping and other office duties. Knowledge of the English and Spanish languages are needed.
 
+  English Tutor
Provide English practice and tutoring for refugees recently arrived in the United States. May work one-on-one or in a small group setting. Requirements: attendance at a tutor training workshop and the ability to commit to one night a week for a minimum of twelve weeks.
 
+  Interpreter
Provide interpreting assistance for legal or clinical evaluation interviews with applicants for political asylum, some of whom may be held in detention in Elizabeth. Assignments are usually sporadic in nature and may occur at any time of the day and on the weekend. All languages are needed, but most especially Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Urdu, and all African languages. Requirement: excellent command of English and at least one other language.
